ROCKET MATH TIPS
Practice Side A verbally for 5 minutes with an adult.
practice by yourself. You might practice a math fact incorrectly.
It is not necessary to take the timed test on Side B.
Use Side A for verbal practice only. By not filling in the products you can use the sheet again and again.
Challenge yourself to say the facts as fast as you can. Then try to say them faster. The more automatic the facts are the easier the written test will be.
Watch the video below, with your parent, to see how to correctly practice your Rocket Math.
Mastering your multiplication facts will make multiplying large numbers and long division easier. How you ask? You will be able to concentrate on the algorithms instead of your multiplication facts. So, keep practicing!
Due on or before March 31st, 2014.
Give it a try!!! You can do it.
The Golf Ba
Show your work and clearly explain your solution.)
Problem: James has been bouncing a golf ball and he has found out that if you drop (not throw) a golf ball on the pavement, it will bounce back one half the distance from which it is dropped. He dropped it from his bedroom window on the second floor which is 16 feet up from the driveway.
How far had the ball traveled when it hit the pavement for the fourth time?
